A beautiful ancient structure, once belonging to Anguissola family, made of bricks and stones with turrets on each corner and a moat crossed by the bridge. Ten years ago Alda and her daughter Nicoletta purchased this decayed structure and its estates, creating a place of rare beauty. Three rooms with every comfort allow the guests to spend the night in a fascinating atmosphere, such as the suite in the medieval tower. The lower wing of the Castle offers three dining rooms: the first one has been made out of the Castle’s ancient kitchen, the second one (“pink room”) is dominated by an ancient fireplace, and the third one is much cosier. Alda and Nicoletta offer their guests typical local and homemade dishes, prepared with vegetables, fruits and meats of their own production. Pasta and desserts are handmade. Wines are of their own production too: a good Gutturnio is served in the traditional white bowl. The restaurant is suitable for different events, from ceremonies to an intimate dinner. The “Castle” also welcomes groups of children who want to spend an entire day in the didactic farm. Children will be offered breakfast and then they will take part in workshops and tasting. Alda and Nicoletta have planned special routes for pupils, such as the medieval rout, the route of the grapes, the route of medieval bread and the route of the “museum of pressing”, placed in the ancient castle’s cellar.
